High School Musical 3 star Jemma McKenzie-Brown will not be in the next installment of the franchise so is going back to auditioning.
The actress, 14, who played Tiara Gold in the third film in the hit series starring Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, is now rejoining the ranks of many young hopefuls on the auditions circuit, but is grateful to have the Disney smash under her belt.
She said: “I think it’s been decided they’re going for a whole new route with it which is a shame but I had a really good time doing the third one.”
She added: “I’m back to auditioning and have got some cool opportunities and good scripts so hope something comes up!
“When I’m 16 and have left school I can start concentrating on other stuff and in ten years time I’ll hopefully have a film or two under my belt but I love theatre too so that would be fun.”
Jemma McKenzie Brown will be starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical 4 along with Justin Martin and Matt Prokop!
So, what will HSM4 be about? Disney says it’s “East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights.”
The Mirror confirms that Jemma McKenzie-Brown will be starring in High School Musical 4 and says that many movie roles are being offered to her!
She says: “Since doing the movie I’ve gone from getting auditions for radio plays to getting auditions for films. It’s like, ‘We’re considering Tom Cruise for the role of the father,’ and I’m thinking, ‘Oh God, this is crazy.’”
She also admits it’s strange to be compared to Miley Cyrus. “It’s strange when people compare me to Miley, because she’s such a massive star. It’d be amazing to be as successful as her but it’s just nice to be classed in the same category.
“It’s just too huge. Everything is really surreal, it hasn’t sunk in yet. You have to step back. It’s crazy, it’s not something you ever imagine happening to you.”

It looks like High School Musical 4 is a go!!
In the film, Tiara, Donny, and The Rocket are back in School for a whole new storyline for East High School. Every musical has an ending, and every ending is a new beginning for The Wildcats!

Kenny Ortega says he definitely to make a fourth High School Musical movie, and guess who it will focus on?!?! Our very own Jemma McKenzie-Brown!! Ortega insists people are still interested in the teen musical concept, and feels there is still scope for another film. “I hope so. I mean, if these kids are still reacting this way after three it would be fun to try and imagine how we would do it for the next generation, maybe with Jemma.”
“It’s just spectacular. I mean, they told us the kids had been lined up here all day and we were to expect a really exciting turnout, but it is 10 times bigger than my imagination allowed me to believe,” said Kenny expressing his delight at the attendance at the premiere.
